A premium development of 9 stunning apartments and 3000 sq feet of commercial space. The original Post Office was built in 1905 by the renowned Post Office Architect Jasper Wager. The Post Office had been extended and converted over the last 100 years and had fallen into a state of disrepair.
The challenge was to restore and develop this historical building using original materials whilst simultaneously delivering Church’s traditional high standards of design and quality. Additional complications meant we had funding requirement stipulations to complete the work within 18 months of acquisition.
In order to create increased GDV, planning consent was enhanced by redesigning the existing layout to incorporate more effective use of light and space. While carrying out this exercise we also wanted to break new ground on delivering exceptional environmental sustainability.
The development is powered by Air Source heat pumps that deliver sustainable heat and hot water to each of the properties. Supplemented by Solar Panels, these measures reduce the carbon footprint of the development by up to 50%.
